On May 29, 2019, Chelsea faced London rivals Arsenal in the UEFA Europa League final in Baku. Chelsea came out on top with a 4-1 victory, securing their second Europa League title. Eden Hazard opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 45th minute, before Pedro doubled their lead just after the hour mark. Per Mertesacker pulled one back for Arsenal with a header in the 60th minute, but Chelsea quickly restored their two-goal advantage with a strike from Olivier Giroud in the 69th minute. Hazard then added his second of the night in the 72nd minute to seal the victory for Chelsea.
